Helsinki Nightlife

Helsinki Finland Nightlife - Helsinki may be a cold city but its nightlife is very warm with weekends always an explosion of possibilities. This should remind you that night spots in Helsinki are usually overcrowded during weekends so go to your destinations as early as possible.

Mature tourists and locals usually frequent bars and nightspots that are located in Helsinki hotels like the Scandic Hotel Continental and the Sokos Torni Hotel. However, there are lots of bars and clubs outside these clubs.

Atelier Bar is a hit among artists and writers so if you dig that crowd and you want a good view of the Helsinki skyline then this is it. O’Malley’s Irish Bar is also very cozy and it boasts of live musical gigs.

If your nightlife mainly consists of cultural performances then visit the Finlandia Hall or the Finnish National Opera. Most of the performers however speak in Swedish or Finnish so be forewarned. If you want to get a head start on the latest events in Helsinki’s nightlife then go get a free copy of the Helsinki Guide from your hotel.

Are you a Casino fan? Go visit Casino Ray for a round of roulette or your favorite slots. If this is too much for you, settle for nightclubs with small time casino games.
